Our resident Society Professional, Steven Brian, has one priority at The Royal Burgess Golfing Society: to make the ‘The Royal Burgess Experience’ on the course a truly exceptional one.
Offering expert tuition as well as other helpful services such as equipment hire and repair, Steven’s Team is based at the Professional’s Shop – a fully stocked hub of activity.
Laden with all the latest golfing ‘must haves’, the shop sells all the leading golf brands, as well as a great selection of Society branded merchandise, and the Professionals are always on hand to provide advice and talk you through all the available options

Steven Brian
CLUB PROFESSIONAL
Steven was appointed Society Club Professional in 2002 after nine years service as the Assistant Professional.
Steven has built up a reputation as a talented coach, coaching from club, to county, to international levels.

Wayne Hugo
SOCIETY CLUB PROFESSIONAL
Wayne Hugo is an experienced PGA Professional who qualified 1st in his year and received the Titleist Apprentice of the Year award.
While based at World of Golf and Gary Player Golf Experience in Johannesburg, South Africa, Wayne gained invaluable experience Teaching Golf and custom fitting.
As well as his PGA qualification, Wayne is a Certified Putting Instructor and a TaylorMade Master Fitter. Wayne is very fortunate to have worked with and learned from many great players and teachers, including Gary Player himself. Wayne also played at a high level winning various amateur tournaments and club championships.

Jordan Sundborg
ASSISTANT PROFESSIONAL
Originally from the Isle of Wight, Jordan has lived in Scotland since 2016, having attended Stirling University gaining a BA Hons Degree in Sports Studies and a Masters Diploma in Sport Management.
As a member of the Sports Scholarship Programme, Jordan represented the University in Europe, USA and UAE, playing for the first team for the duration of time there with a handicap of +5.
In 2019, Jordan became European University Champion winning individual and team gold medals. He turned professional in August 2022.
